Shuweihat S2 IWPP its a Jointly owned by Marubeni Japan and GDF Suez-France, a greenfield development project located in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi produce 1507MW of power and 100 MIGD of water.
The plant includes two power and desalination blocks with each block comprising two gas turbines, one steam turbine and three multi-stage Flash distiller Unit.
Shuweihat S2 IWPP located at 250 km south west of the city of Abu Dhabi, includes the construction of 1,500 MW power and 100 MIGD seawater desalination plant, and the operation and maintenance of the plant. The plant will be supplied and constructed by the consortium of Siemens AG, Samsung C&T Corporation and Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Co., Ltd. in full turnkey basis.
